**IMPORTANT: Explanation of Costs of Workshops 

Upfront payment/Registration fee/Reimbursement/Lodging Reimbursement

Mechanics, Chemistry, & MS Science are 3-week workshops and require $599 upfront payment, including $50 registration fee and $549 due by May 15. All participants who complete workshop successfully receive $300 reimbursement, thus reducing net cost to $299.

Graphical Problem Solving in Physics is a 1-week workshop and requires upfront payment of $199, including $50 registration fee and $149 due May 15. All participants who complete workshop successfully receive $100 reimbursement, thus reducing net cost to $99.

Curriculum Development Camp is a 1-week workshop, with a cost of $149, including nonrefundable $49 registration fee and $100 due May 15.

Lodging Reimbursement. Reimbursement of up to $50 per night for lodging in NYC is available to a limited number of STEMteachersNYC workshop participants who live outside the NYC Metropolitan Region. For 3-week workshops, maximum reimbursement is $750 (15 days); for 1-week workshops, maximum reimbursement is $250 (5 nights).


To apply:

1. Individual must agree to conditions and then complete and submit “Lodging Reimbursement Application” by registering at <https://lodgingsu15.eventbrite.com>. Application requires a copy of utility bill or driver’s license showing primary home address. The minimum time to travel from home to Teachers College must be greater than 90 minutes, as shown on Google Maps <maps.google.com>.


2. Decisions will be made on a rolling basis, and applicants will be notified by email at the address they provided in the application. After applicants are notified, they must do the following:

a. Agree to accept the offer of reimbursement.

b. Register for the workshop and pay the registration fee ($50 or $100, depending upon workshop) within one week of receiving the offer of reimbursement or the offer will no longer be valid.

c. Pay the remainder of the workshop fee ($149 or $499, depending upon workshop) no later than May 15, or the offer of reimbursement for lodging will no longer be valid.

3. To receive reimbursement, participant must submit original receipts (electronic scan or photo of original acceptable) showing amount paid for lodging expenses.

Decisions on reimbursement applications will be made on a rolling basis as the applications are received. Decisions are final and are at the discretion of STEMteachersNYC. Funds for reimbursement are limited, and applications will be accepted only for as long as the funds last. Participants are encouraged to share rooms if possible, in which case, all participants are eligible for reimbursement separately up to the maximum.
