Our Summer Workshops in Physics - Mechanics, Chemistry, & Physics - Electricity & Magnetism are now accepting reservations. We have assembled a real all-star team of workshop leaders: Craig Buszka & Seth Guinals-Kupperman (Mechanics), Larry Dukerich and Donghong Sun (Chemistry), and Michael Crofton and Mark Schober (E&M). The workshops run for 3 weeks, July 22 to Aug 9. Cost is $450. We are hopeful that we will receive support soon from the new Science Modeling Institute, and if we do we will reduce the fee, probably to $300. To reserve a spot, go to Eventbrite. Our workshops turn up in a search for "modeling instruction" on Eventbrite. Here are the specific URLs.
You must setup an account on Eventbrite to reserve a spot. Full details about all three workshops are there. You can use that information to request support from your school or from other sources. Note that it doesn't cost anything to make a reservation, but you will receive a message with directions about how to pay at the email address you supply when you reserve. You will be required to pay at least a deposit of $100 in order to keep your spot in the workshop. Thanks to Zhanna Glazenburg, Treasurer of AMTA, for help in setting up reservations at EventBrite. She'll be working with AMTA on accepting payments, which will be through their website. |
